Happy Thursday! Alrighty, I going to try to keep this short and sweet, because I know the teenage attention span is little to nothing :) Today's song lyric comes from my favorite artists in the Christian industry--116.

116 stands for Romans 1:16, and being unashamed of the gospel. If you know me personally, you know I'm an absolute nerd when it comes to this group of rap artists. And if you listen to KB, or anyone else in 116, you've probably heard them say HGA before. But what does this mean?
HGA = His Glory Alone
This means that in everything we do, we give the glory back to God. Glory is the manifestation of God's holiness and perfectness. Our sole purpose in this world, as Christians, is to reflect God's glory--so show the world the awesomeness of God. When we give the glory back to God, we are praising and honoring Him for Who He is and what He has done.
So, how do we give the glory back to Him in everything? The answer lies in 1 Corinthians 10:31: "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
I know you're probably thinking, how do I glorify God while I eat? Well, it's simple: thank Him for the food in front of you. If you land captain of the football team, thank Him for it, and use it to talk to your teammates about Jesus. If your mom miraculously lets you go get coffee from Starbucks, McDonalds, or Dunkin, thank God that you got to have coffee! It's giving Him thanks and recognition for everything, even the small stuff.
So, in everything, remember HGA. Glorify Him in all you do.
If you want to learn more about what the glory of God really is, I recommend this sermon by Lecrae. My youth pastor showed it to our youth group, and God really used this to open my eyes to my purpose and what His glory truly is!
Thanks for reading everyone! As always, text me through the Instagram account if you have questions or just need someone to talk to :) See ya next week!
