Hi all! I felt led to quickly write this up. I know a lot of people are hurting right now. There's a

lot of death, depression, and sadness everywhere. God gave me what I'm writing about today, and I pray He uses it to give you some strength.

Darkness is not silent right now. The devil is at work, and I know we all feel it. But, the devil has no power over those who belong to Jesus. Christian, Satan can't hurt you.

Read both of these phrases:

My God my God it's all on you

The demons tremble

The darkness moves

I know who you are - the Holy One of God!

The first is from "Let It Reign" by KB, and the second is from Luke 4:34. Pastor Raudel from the Summit Church talks about the holiness of God, which is acknowledged by a demon who yells that sentence at Jesus in Luke 4:34. (The song and the sermon are both embedded here, go give them a listen!)

Both of these phrases address God's amazing power against the darkness. At the mention of His name, the demons tremble and shake with fear. At His will, the darkness moves and light wins. And the demons know this. That demon in Luke 4:34 knew that Jesus was the Son of God, who was Lord over all, including the darkness. He knew who Jesus was and that ultimately, he and the rest of his dark friends couldn't beat the Son of God. The Devil knows he is fighting a battle he can never win--a battle he has already lost.

So Christian, when the Devil starts messing with your head, pray. Remind yourself through God's word in the Bible that Satan has lost. Don't give him a win by giving in. Your God is bigger. If you belong to Christ, the Devil has no power over you.

That's all friends! I hope this encourages you as it did for me. Reach out if you need to pray or chat! Thanks for reading. --Elizabeth :)

ABOUT LIGHT & SALT

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 calls us as believers to make disciples of all nations. But being a Christ-following teenager in this day and age isn't easy, as being known as the goody-two-shoes isn't typically the social status that everyone goes for. So we all need some encouragement, right? Teen to teen? That's what I hope this blog can be to you--something to give you godly insight and scripture to take into your day.
